tis a very very expensive shower curtain and the not so white bit, is the part with the weights in it, so it wont hang right, if you cut them off:)

You can't catch diseases off showers. Why bother?

    How's about this

    1) permanent markers
    2) stencils
    3) make the curtain your own

Incorporate your artistic measure and have a colouring competition with DesF. LOLZ :D:D:D

Actually, i did make the shower curtain myself, i could get the colour i wanted. so i made my own and backed it with the a real white shower curtain

it is very very easy to make, if anyone wants any help making theirs

Try a limescale remover on it, you can get them in sprays, bleach doesnt remove that sort of residue.

Buy a new shower curtain, They are cheap and less effort.

I would say dye it, but seeing as its gonna be saturated with water again it doesnt make much sence. Bleach will just turn it off colour. Have you tried leaving it soak in cold washing powder water overnight? Then putting it through the wash?

My shower doors, I use a green pot scrub and ceam cif, I give it a good scrub once a week, I find the more you keep on top of it the cleaner it stays. Buff with a micro fibre cloth after. I swear by these. But Lidl also do good window cleaning cloths they are green.

The flash shower spray worked well on mine. Something with a mould remover may be able to remove the stains

Ah a woman after my own heart, cleaning the bathroom at 2am. I've been known to get up to the loo in the middle of the night and get so distraught at the state of the toilet bowl that I'd take out he rubber gloves and start scouring. And don't talk to me about the night I got up for a midnight snack and ended up cleaning the fridge and defrosting the freezer.

On a slightly more OT note I discovered these things recently in Tesco - they're pad thingy's for cleaning bathroom tiles and shower screen doors and omgz!!11!!!!! they're just the shizz-nizz. The bathroom will be spaaaaarkling afterward and they're super easy to clean.

    Ignoring the obvious lunacy.

I was reading the back of the cillit bang last week and it says that it eats the enamel off your bath tub.

I was too scared to clean after that.

Jules and G'em, you're both more than welcome to stay the night at my place any time you want. I'll put clean sheets on the bed in the spare room, and leave out all the cleaning supplies for you.

Has to be white vinegar tho! If that fails do try the dishwashing tablets...they really do get your whites, white :D

Can I ask another question of the domestic goddesses? Totally unrelated to bathrooms?

We moved into our house about 18mts ago. It just doesn't feel new any more. Without throwing out all of my stuff, how do I get that brand new, sparkly clean "show house" feeling back. :(

As quality says, paint it (walls, ceilings, skirting boards - the works!)
and scrub it, I use milton and the house always smells and looks fantastic afterwards...Like New;)

Make sure it's Egyptian cotton sheets and I'm there :D

I'm only half joking by the way...

You don't need to do anything as drastic as painting the whole house or even room, you just need to do a proper clean. Cobwebs in corners, dust under furniture, grime around the skirtings - it's all that "lived-in" dirt that's taken away the sparkle. If possible remove all the furniture from the room and scrub from top to bottom. If there's chips of paint missing from railings or skirtings re-touch them. Clutter makes a room look old very fast - you can get lovely storage boxes that tidy a room up and decorate it at the same time; magazine boxes, pretty clothes baskets, CD/ DVD boxes - they all look v. smart. Change a couple of lampshades (they get nasty dirty really fast). Rearrange the furniture when you put it back. Buy new cushion covers or put a new throw on the settee. Get a good quality glass vase and put a big bunch of flowers in the room. Instead of air fresheners which can smell very artificial open as many windows as possible and light a couple of vanilla candles - it's a soft but homely smell.

I second the cillit bang suggestion for shower doors.
Would false teeth tablets work on a shower curtain?
I use them on net curtains on a cool wash and they come up brand new. Might be worth a try! :)
