Various reasons can call these, most common fault is faulty or too sensitive sensors e.g Tilt sensors / movement sensors. Get a once over by a qualified alarm installer.

Or alternatively someone could be playing with your head and setting it off :D

Most alarm problems on VAG cars are from the microswitch inside the door lock. A bad contact causes the alarm to think the door is open. You can replace the mechanism or get someone to re-solder the switch.
Alternatively you could remove the siren from the alarm, it's under the windscreen wipers.

    How old is the car/alarm.
Car alarms really need to be replaced after around 5years. They do have a limited life and then start causing trouble.
go to a qualified alarm technician, but generally they will not touch a product they did not install.
If its a new car with a factory fitted alarm, god help you! :D

Maybe the problem that its on the last really really annoying legs!

Hopefully it is just a sensor, try moving them around if you can maybe somebody knocked it. If the sensors or near a vent maybe try closing it, maybe the wind if alarm has being really sensitive.

Any experience with cars either mine or family members with factory fitted alarms have not being good!
