Im in a situation ATM (due to recession etc) where i may not have my job come september. I went down to the FAS office to look for jobs (just in case)and the guy down there put my name in for a course,i said i didnt want a course that i was only looking for a job, but he insisted saying there may not be any jobs in september, he was a little moody and pushy so i didnt ask him much regarding it.

Anyway he put my name in for a course, its a FAS course and it runs full time for 18 weeks. Thing is though he never mentioned if i get paid for it, and i didnt want to sound pure scabby asking. Do all full time courses with FAS get paid

Sorry dont want to sound pure scabby here but ill have nothing to live on if i lose my job and dont get paid for this course ya know.

So the question is Do all full time courses with FAS get paid ?

    Thanks

as far as I know, you get the same as unemplymeny benefit plus sometimes you get travel payments along with lunch payments.

Perhaps call FAS and ask to be sure. If you are not working, I don't think they can expect you to live on fresh air!
