By blocked I assume you mean it shows up as "Anonymous"? I think only the phone company can see that. You probably need the guards involved to get the info then, if even that helps.

No regular, normal or legal method without involving the guards.

Yep, unfortunately if someone doesn't want you to see their number there isn't much you can do. However, if its someone being abusive or repeatedly calling then you could get the guards involved.

Friend of my mothers had one of the first 3G SE phones, can't remember the model number, it "unblocked" numbers. As in I rang her with my number set to private and it showed up as me ringing her. That was a year or two ago though, maybe it's not possible anymore.

I know my gf was getting weird calls last year and I rang O2 about it and they said to record dates and times, report to the Gardai and they would release the information to them.

A good idea in theory but what about calls you want?

If there really your friends they won't mind being forwarded to a sex chat line.

The phone company's/networks should allow you to automatically reject withheld numbers so that you never receive them...

and if i was a prank caller, i'd never stop if the prankee did that. If you divert your calls, the person calling you pays the normal rate and you pay for the divert
