    Got a letter from ntl/upc on friday saying i had downloaded 30 gbs when im only suppose to download 2 gb ( dont even know how it happened as i download music or films or anything big, just surf the net and email. sO now threy say there going to upgrade my 2mb connection to a 10 mb one with no limit. Not really bothered about it as it would be nice to have faster interent but just wondering will someone have to come out to my house and do anything or How is it upgraded?

    They will turn up your speed at their end and you might have to restart your router.

    You should also find out why you managed to download 30gigs of data through ordinary surfing!
    Are you broadcasting an unsecure wifi signal?

    yeah its secure i use wpa on the router. Im not sure other people in house use internet. Im not too bothered like i was going to get it upgraded anyway so this saves me the hazzle of doing it. Just wasnt sure how they do it. Thanks for your replies
