    bored off my box this saturday night, and found this little ditty,
    yes its a fake/hoax but its fun, you may already be aware of it, i remember hearing about it, but never got to hear the actual message.

    back in the day, (1977) this was a classic, the means of actually doing this and getting away with it must have been extraordinary. Apparently 4 or 5 bbc transmitters were hijacked by this person claiming to be Vrillion of Ashtar galactic command, it happened november 26th 1977, so april fools is out of the question, am guessing it was some hippie activists using a scare tactic or bunch of students having a laugh.

    Anyway, the rogue transmission cut across ITN's evening news, leaving the picture visable, but superimposing "Vrillion's" audio message. Not exactly Orson Welles war of the worlds type of hysteria followed, but it did apparently have some effect.

    must have scared the life out of some people though, i never heard of that that before.

    listening to the actual news, "one man one vote" indeed, the world has gone backwards it seems (well not NI)
