Prepay voice/data for a trip to Ireland

I am taking a trip to Ireland (from the US) and would like use my Samsung Blackjack while there for local telephone and data. I am most interested in the data service to access the internet/email/etc.

Can I just pick up a SIM card/prepay phone and use it to access the internet? I would really like to be able to get online without having to search for WiFi spots wherever I go.

    Thanks.

Notes: The phone would be unlocked and it supports EDGE/UMTS/HSDPA (wiki)

Probably the best of the bunch for a short trip to Ireland !

Basically using the Vodafone Live APN you pay a max of 99c / day for 50MB of usage.

You'll need these settings for your phone: http://www.powermyphone.com/gprsmms.php#vodafone

And the Vodafone SIM you can buy at the airport (assuming Dublin Airport) when you arrive if it's during normal business working hours (there's a shop in arrivals).
