Blue Sky logo on box too bright!

I've given in and got sky at home. Have Sky+ in the sitting room which even I can operate.
Got the multi room option for the bedroom with the regular box (which has less channels for some reason. I presume I just ring Sky to sort this).
It's a minor thing, but I find the blue sky logo on the box very bright. It's like having a night light on. Apart from swithching it off at the wall, is there any way I can safely remove or dim the light in the box? Can't find anything in the manual about this.

Mods please redirect me if i'm repeating an oldie.

I know exactly what you mean. I have 2 similar models (Thomson and Amstrad) both with blue Sky logo, one fades after powering up, the other stays bright.
I cant find way to dim the second.

It is one reason I prefer my older, more compact, cleaner looking, third digibox, a Pace - no distracting bright lights.

    Very helpful!
I tried that already, but it's tricky cutting out the letters.

Open it up, remove LED, job done. Of course Any warranty on box is voided.
