Its been a few days since this event. I have held of posting to give me time to collect my thoughts about it and to see if there would be any follow up. But alas i have decided to share my experience today.

Typing this im thinking to myself, "people wont believe it or will have some explanation for it, or think im spoofing". Ive been around boards.ie long enough so i hope that i carry some credibility for not spoofing or stretching tales. I will tell this story exactly as it happened. Nothing has been left out or added for dramatic purpose etc.

The other day in my house there was just me and my sister. No one else was around or would be for the day and night. My sister was going out to stay in her friend's house that night. Anyway throughout the day my sis was looking for her driving license and passport as she needed one of them for the following day. I didnt know where they were, nor would i even know where she keeps them.

It was getting close to 10pm, she still hadnt found them but need to leave the house ot head to her friends. She was on the computer before she left. When she went I was then on the computer (on boards probably!) and was there for about 20 mins or so before hitting the sack. I was alone in the house

Roll on next day. I got up and went into check my email before leaving for work and low and behold her passport and driving license was sitting on the keyboard of the computer. Freaky. I checked the house to see if there was anyone there. There wasnt.

I rang her to ask her if she had been home etc and she hadnt. I told her about the passport and license. She immediately assumed i had been taken the mickey the previous day and had been playing a joke on her. (I hadnt but even today she still thinks i have)

There is no way the passport or license was anywhere near the computer desk never mind keyboard before i went to bed. Besides, she had been searching for it all day. It didnt fall off any nearby shelf, cos there was none.

I can offer no reasonable explantion. I dont sleep walk. She didnt come home during the night, it wouldnt make any sense for her to play a trick like that and besides i would have heard her come in.

    Very very strange.

    Good story!

I cant think of a rational explanation for this. Which I like.:D

I cant think of a single explaination either and yes you do carry a "little" bit of credibility .... but not much :D

Try leaving something out purposely and see if it goes missing? Obviously something you dont mind losing and somewhere where no one else will move it.

    Fairly strange alright

It’s a new very powerful Google search engine, it not only searches for you but puts what your looking for right on your keyboard.

I am currently searching “ Kylie in hotpants”. oh please!

I wouldnt bother with the sage if there are no bad vibes .... that said it does make the house smell nice.

Dont worry about negative energy. Any entity that bothers to go and find your passport for you is a good 'un.

Not to make you paranoid or anything, but it reminds me of the recent story of the guy in Japan who noticed food going missing from his house. He set up video cameras and found that there was a homeless woman living in a compartment in his closet. Could be happening to you and they thought they'd do you a favour :D

Sounds like it was a nice gesture. Ok yes it would be normal to freak out when stuff like that happens and to be curious to how. I have read your reports or replys etc on here and you seem to be a fairly level head person, so a big leap here and say it was a spirit helping out, what makes people think he/she is going to act like a trained seal and just repeat the performance? of course it might work....

Personally I would be just be greatful the stuff turned up and say thanks..... but I would make very sure no one in the psychial sense was in my house first.

complete novice here, but found this story interesting.

is there anything he can do to say thanks? How do you communicate that sort of thing?

Similar thing happened me when i was living in my Gran's house. Which we think is haunted.

I had a really bad day at work, it was pissing rain, I was tired and cranky and starving. I really just wanted to order a pizza, watch a dvd and relax. I had a bit leaflet of special offers and the phone number of 4 star. It wasn't in the usual place. I looked everywhere. I checked all over the bed, shelves, floor, computer.

There were a pile of towels on the bed and I looked underneath and everything. I gave up on it and went online, then had an urge to turn my head, and there was the leaflet on top of the towels.

Freaked me out, but I just shouted out "thank you!"

Hello again, well im disappointed to say that activity over the weekend was very limited. Although there were strange noises in the empty house (more so than usual) this morning but i dont give that much thought.

Other than a light being on last night (which im pretty sure was turned off) nothing else to report.

However tonight im going to try something different but i would like some opinion from those more versed before i do it! :)

I was going to take a blank sheet of paper in the room where it happened when i go to bed. I will write on the paper, thanks and leave an inanimate object on the page. I will draw around the object so if it moves, i will know it has.

Pretty much the same thing happened to me a few years ago, i was in my room with my cousin and sister, they where over the far side of the room and i was standing beside my bed, i put a credit card on my bed as i was going to book something online for my cousin and i turned round to my sister and cousin for a few seconds, i turned back to pick up the card and it was gone, looked all over the bed, pulled the blankets and pillows off the bed, nothing, card was nowhere to be seen and it was a white sheet so it would have stood out, i turned back to my cousin and sister still at the far side of the room and told them, then turned back againa bout 20 seconds later and low and behold the card is sitting perfectly in the centre of the bed, theres just no rational conclusion i can come up with, this happened when little things started happening around the house and they steadly gotten more frequent, but nothings happened in awhile. I was thinking though, this happened in the attic, there was never anyone living in the attic before me so can't understand how something could be realted to the other occurances in the house!

I saw a wonderful short film type thing years ago about this type of phenomenon. it was very strange, I hope I can explain it properly :D

The basic idea was that all that really exists for any individidual is everything that is there around him that he can see at that moment in time. Behind the door that he is about to walk through there are loads of men in white boiler suits constructing the next "scene" of his life.. literally constructing it, building it and putting all the bits into place. Behind him, in the room he has just walked out of, the men in white boiler suits are taking it all apart again. When it is deconstructed all nothing remains.. just white blankness. Given that the person may enter the same scene (e.g room) many times over and over again it means these men have to rebuild the exact scene over and over again. Occasionally they make mistakes.... like they forget to put the passport or ticket back where it should have been while you've been out in a new scene (e.g. the toilet) so when you've your back turned one of them pops back in and leaves it back again....or they simply put the item back in it's proper place the next time they reconstruct that scene.

Did any of that make sense? :o I probably saw it about 20 years ago and it amused me greatly.

Sorry if I've derailed or killed your thread faceman :o

Very interesting, would like to know the result of the above!! This kind of thing happens alot to a friend of mine. He was doing some thing in the house, he got word that a friend of his had died, he went back to continue what he was doing, and one of the items he was using in the house went missing, he checked every where around where he was working, when his girlfriend came in she pointed out the item, right in front of his nose, but he knew it wasn't there when he was looking. Funny thing is, the item which disappeared, also linked into the work that his now dead friend does, so he took it as a joke from a recently deceased friend!

For you - id say document it, right it down, date it etc, it may be months before some thing strange and as obvious as this happens again, but keep a diary, then see if there's any thing in common with events etc etc...its amazing what you forget over time.
