    I followed a link from another thread posted on here for a service in America. If you buy online (eg from Ebay in the States) and send the item to this company they will ship it internationally.

    However along the LH side of the page it says
    CUSTOMS REGULATIONS » For Customs Information for a specific country click here. Following that link (selecting Ireland on the first page) brought me to a 2nd page which is a FED-EX page that explains their customs procedures.

    Also on the http://www.ipsparcel.com/ page there was a shipping calculator.

    I hope this is of some use to people, I've been stung often enough by shipping prices from the states on things I needed.
