psp slim, dead pixels

well i just picked a slim up yesterday for the sole reason of playing FF7Crisis Core....i had a original psp but sold it for an electric picnic ticket...at the time at it was the right thing to do and i defiantly stand by the decision having had the time of my life(roll on august again!) so i begrudgingly spent the cash on a new psp, i dont mind so much as the last time i had one it got a lot of use even over my ds. on to my complaints

now i have to say that i was sorely disappointed with the slim when i opened the box i was taken aback as the slim feels like a really cheap plastic tonedown of the original psp and has very little weight in the hand, i understand that some improvements have been made under the hud but physicly its a real step back in my opinion.
when i got my original it came packed with a nice stand(which i still have) earphones loads of manuals and a some umd demos, not to mention a memory card!...in the new one it defiantly dose not ave these! i just assumed in my rush(shop was closing)taht it would have all these in the box and i would not have to spend even more money on basic extras! it dosent even come with the protection wallet/slip to stop it getting scratched to hell, and dont get me started on the non existent loading mechanism for the umds...not even tabs to slid it in correctly, madness!

and to make things even worse it has a very incontinently placed dead pixel in one inch up and to the right of center screen....it REALLY draws the eye, dose anyone know if the shop is obliged to change units in the case of dead pixels?

well the rant is over, the psp is a great system even if the new one feels flimsy and i have a tone of games to catch up on over the past year....
anyone else have opinions on the slim vs the fat?
