    hey, anyone know if you need to be able to draw a certain amount of kanji for
    the jlpt 2 exam?

    I'm guessing you don't but not sure...

    None of the JLPT test kanji writing skills.

    There is a section where you'll have to distinguish between similar kanji (間、聞、問 or 持つ、待つ for example) though, so you will need to know them well.

    sweet! i thought I'd read it somewhere, glad to know i'm wrong.

    that similar kanji is could be a bit of a pain alright, have they compiled lists of all the similar kanji or anything like that?

    王 注 主 <- pretty annoying

    as is -> 牛 午

    If you check out kanjisite.com, some of the kanji show other similar kanji under a 'not to be confused with' heading. Might be handy.

    That section in the JLPT is feckin horrible.
