Didn't pay the baggage charge when I ordered my flights online, but think I am going to need it afterall. Anyone know how much Ryanair charge when your bag goes over the 10kg allowance?

It's a 15kg limit on checked baggage with Ryanair.

If your hold baggage looks like hold baggage and you can carry it when walking onto the plane as if it weights under 10kg then you'll probably not have a problem...maybe. They don't have scales at the gate though, just the frames for checking the size of bags.

I paid 40 euro recently for 2checked bags, which makes it 10 each way. Hope that helps.

Three responses and not one actually answered the original question. Great personal stories.

I believe it's 12 euro per extra kg.

Well that will be because the original question didn't really make sense.

There is no charge for excess weight in your carry on bag, they will just make you check it into the hold if they deem it too big/ heavy.

So how much does it cost to check your bag into the hold if it's too big for hand lugguage? 20 bills?
