I'm going to order some Pride DVDs from the old interweb.

Can someone recommend the best events?
Was thinking of the Middle weight Grand Prix that Chuck was in. 2003 I think it was.
    All suggestion welcome.

Oh and also whats the best site to get them off?

    Thanks.

GP 2003 and 2005 were both amazing and well worth it. I own the boxset for the 2003 one and its fantastic.

Pride 10 rocks! Bar the belfort fight which is only ok, the dvd is packed with exciting fights.

Final Conflict 2005 was great, middleweight grand prix. There was a great Wanderlei vs Sakuraba fight on PRIDE 17. Some of the Bushido events are great too, but not the early ones. Either PRIDE 33 or Shockwave 2006 were really good, I can't remember which one it was... Might be 33 as there was a really great Nick Diaz vs Takanori Gomi fight on that

Oh yeah, you can get good deals at www.silvervision.co.uk

There's a lot of early events in double sets for €15, delivery is free last time I checked too. You can get the full middleweight division box sets from the two years mentioned featuring all the fights in the tournament too: http://www.silvervision.co.uk/product.asp?currency=EUR&pf_id=PRIDEBX02&sfile=1&jump=24

Pride was great. All events after the early Prides (1-8) are worth a watch. If you like a good old fashioned war were people despise each other Pride 19 is your man (Ken Shamrock vs Don Frye). Also Frye vs Yoshiro Takayama is a must see and Frye vs Gilbert Yvel.
Hell if Don Frye is on the DVD or Takanori Gomi or Fedor Emelianenko or Mirko Cro Cop or Kazushi Sakuraba (before 2003) or Wanderlei Silva you are on to a winner.

Definately the 2005 LHW gp that shogun won, 3 parts to it, its what got me hooked on mma.

The last ever pride (33) in america was great.

If you are ordering anything from silvervision/fightdvd.co.uk order in sterling and not €. The exchange rate they give when you choose there € prices are horendous still somewhere around 65cents to the £. If you pay the sterling price your credit card will convert it at the current exchnage rate , saving you about 15c in the €. I ordered 2 ufc dvd's recently and saved roughly €7.50 on these by buying in sterling.

Apart from that , yeah get the 2003 and 2005 Middleweight GP's, you dont just get the matches you get the full events where the matches took place so there are 2 ppv's in the 03 GP boxset and 3 in the 05 GP boxset.

They were up until recently doing a deal where if you buy 2 UFC dvd's you get £10 off.

Smart thinking, looks like you'd save a fiver on the 2005 middleweight GP that way

You would be amazed how many sites it works on. If you have the option to be charged in both currencies check the rate you are getting and compare it to the current exchange rate, which is the rate you'll get if you buy it for sterling using your credit card. I saved a fortune doing this on play.com for a few years but they've copped on recently, if you live outside the Uk now you have to be charged in €.
