Based on your experience, what brands have clothes which are of good quality?

By that I mean, will stand up to a couple of years use, keep their shape/colour, won't tear easily. Nothing to do with how the clothes look or fit.

Personally I find it's worth spending that bit extra for clothes, if they're going to last you a long time, rather than disposable fashion from the likes of Penneys and Topshop.

From personal experience, I find the following brands to have good quality clothes.

    Levis
    Tommy Hilfiger
    Polo

And would definatly buy from them again. But I'd like to know what other brands people recommend as being of good quality.

    Gstar jeans
    River Island
    French Connection

Topshop used to but the quality of clothing in there has definitely changed. Looks and feels like Penneys stuff these days but still with TopShop prices!

G-Star I hate those jeans. I think you need to be small fat/stocky for them to look good. Also not a fan of River Island a lot of the clothes die after washing.

For me its Diesel Jeans all the time. I also picked up a few pairs of Armani in New York
    Calvin Klien Shirts
    A&F Shirts

Tommy Hilfiger is to loud for me all red and blues.

IMO you are better off with the designer clothes you buy cheap you buy twice.

Personally i like the clothes from Dorothy Perkin's. It's hard to find clothes that fit my shape and size (I'm a short but curvy) and i think they do an amazing range for value.
I have an unusual taste in clothes which most designer label's don't cater for but I'm quite happy with the item's I pick up there and other store's.

I think Replay jeans are great. I have a good few pairs and they really are good quality. I think a lot of the high street shops have gone downhill quality wise. Ted Baker are good aswell.

Miss Sixty clothes last for years, same goes for Roxy. I really want to buy a pair of Diesel jeans at some point but they're dear.

Does anyone know if Lee jeans last?

I agree that Topshop clothes are not great quality, tops in particular do not last. But I still shop there all the time! It'd be good to hear what alternatives people suggest.

Marks and Spencers, although I'm not sure it's a 'brand' in the sense we are talking about.
