Hi everyone - apologies in advance if this is in the wrong place, but I had a look and it seemed like the most appropriate one...so here goes... I have booked flights from Dublin to Jo'burg via Munich, which is a route I have flown before. However this time I have a fourteen hour overnight stopover in Munich on the way back. Since I usually fly overnight, my question is this...are you allowed to stay overnight in a airport like that if you are waiting for a connecting flight?? I have never had to do it before so am not quite sure. I had a look on the airport website but could not find out... Thanks in advance if anyone knows!!

Sure you could stay, but there mightn't be any comfy seats to lie on. I was there 2 years ago but I can't remember what the seats were like.

Ah, emailing them does seem like the most obvious idea, and of course the one that I completely overlooked. Thanks so much!

i dont realy know what its like for your case but i know a friend of mine missed his flight in munich airport and had to wait over night for the next one-he said the security guard kept waking him every ten minutes when he tried to sleep!

but your case is probably different so it is best to check it out beforehand!

Thanks for the help / suggestions...I emailed them, and got an incredibly prompt reply stating that staying in the airport overnight is absolutely no problem.
