last night I was watching "bean an tí" on TG4 and one of the landladies gave some of the students a badge to signify that conversation as Gaeilge is preferred.

I'm just curious as to what the badge looks like, has anyone an image or link to one.

    Thanks

    Was it a fáinne?

Sorry, I had a quick google - Apparently it's a new thing called "Béal na nGael".

Thanks, I googled a bit further and found this site http://www.snag.ie/sceal10.htm with an image of the badge.

Cool beans.. Is there really a need for one though with the existance of the fáinne?

Have to say I prefer the look of the fáinne over this. Must echo dlofnep too, this looks like it's just doing exactly the same thing as the fáinne. Still, every little helps I guess.
