Travelling North for Corkage!!!

Just noticed that there is a 25% off all wines in Tesco in the North and UK. Hadn't thought of that before, but have got our corkage down to €9(still too much imho but anyway!), so was thinking of making the trip from Limerick at some stage - but probably not this time. Any ideas guys? Would it be worth it? Spotted a case of 6, quite reasonable bottles of white chenin blanc(love that wine) for £22.19, so working out at €27ish a crate, then we'd have the 50 or so bottles of white we'd need for €250, and about €300 for red, as opposed to €18 per bottle house wine. Seriously considering it!

i'm going to be buying mine bulk from either cash and carry or an off license, Should be even cheaper than tesco, plus you can return any unopened bottles, as if.
But any half decent wine off license, will recommend bottles, give you prices, bulk discount rates, and tasting session to make sure you like the wine,

Im having small heart failure at the thought of it, as MIL likes horrible, really strong, almost bitter aftertaste chilean wine, wheras i prefer something a little light and fruity, so do i get special bottle for me or her??,

We bought our wine when we saw a good deal in the supermarket. on top of the 20% off i think it was buy 6 bottles and get 1 free so we did quite well. it was a wine that we really liked as well and it went down very well.

keep an eye out for deals in dunnes, tesco etc because you can get great value that way.

you can get pretty good deals up the North. We are goign for a Wolf Blass red label, down here most shops are charging about 10-12 euro a bottle up the north i saw it for £5.99 which is about €7.5 a bottle.

And the nice thing is that the 25% is applied to any existing special offer pricing too.

I am heading to Belfast this week to shoot a wedding and will be buying a few bits and pieces alright!! :D
