Cycling different programmes

    Hi Guys,
I'm just wondering what way people switch between their programmes.
I've never really looked into this too much before but since I started strenght training "properly" last year I've got some great gains only to lose them a few weeks later. Here's why I'm asking (slightly long winded)

I started this in September last year when I had a decent level of fitness:

    In the Gym
(on top of this I was doing 2 BJJ classes 1x Muay Thai)

    a 5X5 with Rippetoe's A,B template for 10 weeks

Circuit/Endurance (Low weights high reps)training for 6 weeks

Picked up a bad hip injury just before christmas which left me sticking to mainly isolation excercises for almost 8 weeks.

February I started off with a generic 2 day split programme at hypertrophy sets/reps for 6 weeks while I was still rehabing

Mid March when I felt fit enough I did a (my own) variation of a 5x5 with only 2 days instead of 3 as I was back doing Muay thai and BJJ which took up my other non weight training days. I got some really good strength and size gains but gassed after 9 weeks including the deload week.

I then took a couple of weeks off the weights and after started Circuit training/HIIT twice a week working on my endurance. I've cut a good bit of fat and pretty happy with the shape I'm in. I'm just not sure what to do next. Usually I'd go back to a generic Hypertrophy programme but I feel I've lost a significant amount (more then expected) of strength already, would it be a good or bad idea to start strength training again?

On top of this I'll still be doing BJJ and Muay Thai each twice a week and hopefully keep the running up.

    Basically in short,
If you're healthy, eating clean(ish) can you do a programme cycle along the lines of
    Strength 10 weeks> Endurance 4-6 weeks> Strength 10 weeks etc.
without burning yourself out quicker each time?

Hope this isn't too muchg waffle to follow!
    Dave
