Calling UK MObiles

    Hey i am currently a meteor pay as you go customer but spend a lot of my credit phoning and texting the girlfriend in uk (Orange Mobile). 15c a message and 50c/min calls. Anyone know of a cheaper way of making these calls? Thanks

    Thats www.skype.com by the way.
    Not great for on the go, but at home with the laptop, u can chat away.
    And even use ur webcam.

    O2 allow for free international web texts.Combine that with AFT and you are laughing.

    I came across this one before, and the answer is simple, o2. Switch to a sim only option contract on o2, meaning its bill pay, with no contract. Pick one of the new o2 clear plans, depending on your usage. For 2 euro a month, you can add on an international caller add on, and using that you can make your calls for 25c a minute including vat. Combine this with the webtexts mentioned earlier, and its a done deal!

    Better but not perfect. Only brings calls down to 30c.

    3 pay as you go it's 35cent a minute to the UK, you also get free skype and free microsoft messanger....

    suggest you get a Irish 3 phone and your girlfriend get a 3 UK phone, free calls and text.....can't get much cheper than that....:D

    I have a land line and make calls through 13434.ie. think calls to uk mobiles are 5 p /mim in the evening

    voip is good value, dont know how much

    I would suggest 3 also. Calls to uk charged at standard calls ie 35c per min then if you in to visit calls the same rate as over here and same for her.
