Beginner B&W for C&C

    Shot with the D60 kit lens, I know its as cheesy as a :D portrait but I'd love to know what ye think of the B&W edit?

    For what it's worth - my opinion is about as valuable as a grain of salt :)

    I like the tone - wouldn't be mad on the crop though - I presume it's a pint glass with ice in it.

    I'd play around with the crop and see what else can be brought out - it's an abstract image after all so you can have a lot of fun with it. There's probably nothing that can be done about some of those highlights - what with the nature of all of the surfaces.

    I'd clone how the tiny splashes in the top right quadrant.

    That crop is better.
    I'd nearly go for an angle more lower down.
    Try using a big, wide bowl, so that you have more room to maneuver.

    I agree with City-Exile. There's a lot of scope to try things with the components in this shot. I really like what starflake did with the crop.
