Yo, I plan on making this trip tomorrow.

Is this the best route?

Any surprises I should be aware of, hints, tips advice etc? I reckon I should be able to manage the distance. I'll be travelling outside of rush hour.

yup it would be the route i would take anyway.

i travel that road 5 days a week (don't cycle it though) there's nothing really that should get in your way, quality bicycle lanes 90% of the way.

None from what I remember. Security guy at gate. Bring it inside if you can...

An alternative would be via Blackrock and Deans Grange, which would be generally flatter, but a bit longer.
