First post on Boards... WOW...lots of stuff goin on. Briefly... Have young family, two jobs [who doesn't]... and shag all TIME. But... am blown away by the debth and wealth ... of information and interaction amongst the users here.

Can I ask... How do you regulars fit your time here into your day? And how important/relevant has it become in your life.

    Thank you for your thoughts!!!

Before I found Boards, I was a workaholic. Now I've learnt to balance it, spending a bit of time on Boardss but mostly on the warpath on AH, which is all part of the bigger picture as well all have come to recognise. It's like fighting for your country, it's an honour so it feels right.

The auld Boards can be addictive. I went through a phase of posting a fair bit but just now I am taking a back seat from it a little bit. My work has suffered from Boards usage, yes, but if it hadn't been Boards it would have been something else as my job is like watching a cup of tea evaporate.

I used to be a serial sheep rapist, but now with the boards approach I've managed to quell the burning in my loins by harassing people through the cyberweb. :)

I find that unemployment really frees up a good bit of time to go on boards.

I would say boards is pretty important to me. Would I say it's more important than my family?

    Yes.

You make it listen to a frames album

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,761 ✭✭✭✭Winters

I dont use it as much as I used to, being on it for 6 years means I have spent an extra ordinary amount of my recent life posting .. which is kinda scary :3

I probably try and limit myself to a few of the smaller forums and also whatever funny links I get given on the yonder chat channel with other boardsies...

I like the Frames.... I generally have time on Boards unless someone f*cks something up in work, at which time i generally have to go to the rescue!

My usage on Boards is directly linked to the state of the economy. I hardly used it at all at first, but I've recently had to join Boards Anonymous and take it one day at a time. If I get paid enough to stop using it, the economy will miraculously improve overnight (especially my economy).
