    they don't have a gate 2 offer for it, don't know whether they applied for a gate 3 connection. I presume they did, as gate 4 will not be untill 2015.

    O/S wind energy is very slow at the moment.... still alot of risks assoc. with it.

    The costs of offshore windfarms is far more than that od onshore windfarms.

    Currently in Ireland you get the same price for elctricity generated whether it is onshore or off shore. Developers are currntly in talks with the government for getting a better buy-in price for offshore windfarms to make it more cost effective.

    Also currently in the UK developers get a far better price per unit of electricity than they do here for both on and offshore. As such developers are putting the turbines they buy from manufacturers there instead of here.
