Annoyed with Work setup

Previously I have posted here about being made redundant. This is happening soon enough, but the people I work are really beginning to tick me off. I work as part of a 3 person team, tbh it annoys me that I was ever made redundant over the other two who are not.

They are continually out sick, ducking and diving work and not informing our boss of their absense as he is in Paris, and have no supervisor where we are. They going missing for hours on end, they are in late by an hour every day, when I am in a half hour early. When they are out the work falls on me and I am p1ssed off with it at this stage, why should the person being made redundant pick up their slack work when they are messing about.

I have missed two days work sick since the joining the company 4 years ago, I am never out, and their are days I contemplate staying off sick, but guess what, when I come in having decided against it, one of the other two are out surprise surprise.

Sorry about the rant but I really needed to get this off my chest cause I am so annoyed. I am trying to be the model employee whilst I still remain in my job but its hard when you have people like this around you.

No point telling us about it, you should really be scheduling a meeting with your boss. May be futile if it's a last in first out policy and you are the last in.

    Hiya

That is awful and I'm sorry for you. If I was you though, I wouldn't do more than the call of duty. Ignore them and get on with your work, speak with your boss and get some reassurance thet you will get a good reference as you have worked well for them, and look to your future. Being the model employee is a noble attitude to have, but save it for your next employer, and just finish there and walk away with your head high as you haven't done anything. Maybe life is pushing you into a better new space where your colleagues wil respect you a bit more. Good luck.

don't go the extra mile for them - do your job and your job alone.....don't work extra hours (unless paid and it suits) - do your job to the best of your abilities and no more....work a little slower if it means you don't have time to take their roles

Not sure of the legality in Ireland of this but in the past I was offered redundancy which I took - as part of the working notice period (approx 5 months) I was allowed to take time off to go for interviews if I gave the company notice - check to see if the company are offering recruitment assistance...etc...etc

try and remain positive whatever happens - don't let this bad feeling transfer across in interviews or you may struggle to get a new job - easier said than done I know!

    Best of luck!

It'd be ironic if you got made redundant, and the other two got sacked.

It gets more and more annoying day by day.

One has been out most of the week now, supposedly with back pain came back Wednesday at 2pm of all times FFS, was whinging and moaning all day then the same y'day and is out again today. For some one with back pain they some how lost their voice. So p1ssed off right now, I feel like walking out.

It seems all too convienent , so angry and depressed.

Telling my boss will do nothing but screw me over in the long run as I have no managerial support where I am based, as my is offshore. Telling my boss would make my life worse than what it already is. I would be seen as a grass to be fair.

Coming in to work every day is so hard and depressing, I am not sure how long more I can put up with this tbh, I have tried getting other jobs but I am finding near impossible.

    :(

I know it can be hard working with people like that, but stick it out your redundancy will be through soon so you can take the money and run. come in do your 9 - 5 and nothing more unless it benefits you, don't take on anyone Else's tasks etc
