We want a nice clean hotel with A/C and a safe, like a bar and must be near a metro. Price range around €130 - €180 per night.

We have looked at the following and would appreciate your views - especially if there's any we should avoid.

    - Concorde St. Lazare
    - Waldorf Trocadero
    - Villa Allessandre
    - Brighton Hotel
    - Plaza Tour Eiffel
    - Arioso

All of these seem to be within our budget though we're not sure of location so we're looking for personal experience and recommendations.

    Thanks in advance.

Haven't stayed in any of those, but have stayed here. http://www.eiffelseine.com/anglais/location.htm

Right beside a metro, 5 minutes from the Eiffle Tower, clean and well decorated.

B&W, thanks for the recommendation, had a quick look at their site and have two questions:

Is the breakfast worth €16 and does the bedrooms have a safe?

    Thanks

Yes the bedroom has a safe, and yes the breakfast is worth it. I wouldn't have thought so before I went and hence didn't book it but in Paris a cup of coffee and a croissant in a cafe is 8 Euro, so an all you can eat buffet is well worth the money if you like a good breakfast in the morning.

Looking for info from anyone that has stayed in Hotel Brighton. What's it like and is there a bar in the hotel?

I like the Eiffelseine as recommended above but she who must be obeyed likes to location and the web pictures of Hotel Brighton.

It would be great to hear from anyone with personal experieces of either or both.

    Thanks again.
