    Yep, they should all work - I think mine cost 4.50 from Kea Photo.

    Tbh, you could make one yourself if you had a bit of know-how.

    I had a fella make one for me for my old 300D, but where would you get the different type head for the 40D?

    Just out of curiosity, as I bought two from Kea just last week too!

    Any head will do - It just has to touch the contacts, and even then, it should only have to touch two of them to set it off!

    i might try a UK seller for quicker delivery.

    also have a tripod question, il post pics later.
    Got one recommended with 40D but it doesnt support the weight, i don't think its even the lens, it cant support the camera, the neck just falls either forward or backward - useless. [not the whole tripod, just the top bit]
