    Hi boxing board fans

I have been toying around with the idea of setting up a boxing night for genuine fans of boxing who would have an interest in watching all kind of boxing matches matches from a variety of boxers and variety of decades , just like people who set up horror nights etc in dublin.

also I would love to book a venue in dublin that would show a live boxing match from vegas or uk or anywhere that would have board boxing members there so we could all meet up and give our view and opinions and enjoy the watching the fights

question is where and how? do i get this up and running , I get so jealous when I buy buying boxing weekly and look at the back of the magazine and see lots of Q and A sessions in hotels aroudn the uk with Ricky hatton , Joe Calazaghe , Roberto Duran etc all turning up doing 2 hours sessions with their fans etc

we have nothing like that over here well very rarely, I joined Irishboxing.com but nothing is happening over it , they have a Q and A session in Belfast with Neil Sinclair not great but at least its a start

I am not a member of a boxing club , but I do a bit of training to keep fit , most of my friends are not into boxing and that can be a problem when I want to go to boxing matches etc , I would love to set up a club where i could meet people who have a genuine interest in boxing and watch the fights with them and then organise those club nights i talked about !!!

I know of a place on the southside Ely place , where I was at a corporate event once and it was a saturday evening it was smal place thats hold 25 people or less and there was a built in bar and a giant private cinema in the complex, it was fully seated and ideal to watch a boxing match or have a club night

does anybody know anything about this place or would anybody be interested in this , I would like to hear anbodys views , advice and opinions , or is it a waste of time

    thanks carlos

Boxers are brought over all the time for dinner nights, leonard and hearns and a couple others are meant to be coming over soon i think!
