10.5.3 airport problems

    seems like ever since i've updated to the latest software version - i've been having some problems with the airport.
    No.1 - my wifi connection seems to drop evey so often, it freezes and i've got to go through network diagnostics and reenter the WEP password - it happens especially when coming out of sleep mode....

    No.2 - my airport express audio link seems to cut out intermittently while streeming itunes...

    does anyone else have any similar problems? And if so have you got any solution to this?

    No problems here but I've heard of others who have. And 10.5.3 was supposed to fix Airport issues... :rolleyes:

    What mac do you have?

    Have you tried a reset of your airport settings, i.e. re-entering all your network details from scratch.

    Might be worth downloading the 10.5.3 combo update and reinstalling.

    I installed the 10.5.3 update and there were no problems with airport. However the next time I ran Software Update I was prompted to download and install a separate update for airport. Maybe try that and see if you need to update it.

    gonna try and do a reinstall - its really starting to bug me now.....constant internet hanging and having to reenter my WEP - streaming of audio from itunes through airport express is crap too - keeps cutting out!

    i've got a mbp 15" intel core 2 duo - about 1year and half old so i'd say it's just the update thats fecked it up - well i hope it's just the update and not any hardware or system problem

    I am also facing the same problem. I have to re-enter the WPA2-Personnel key again and again, I do no know whether Airport looses my key or what happens ? After updating the latest Airport updates,
    1) lot of disconnects
    2) frequency of re-enterngi the key has increased
    3) Internet drops intermittently. I have to turn-off the Airport and turn on to get the signal

    Using:
    Ibook 1.33Ghz
    RAM 1.25 GB
    OS: Leopard 10.5.3
    Router : Linksys wrt54g V8 (dd-wrt)
