    Does anyone know if I can download the vodafone k800i firmware? I am using a 3 K800i with a vodafone sim card and despite getting the MMS settings I cannot send MMS messages. I don't know what's wrong. Only thing I can think of is to reflash with the vodafone firmware?

    Thanks.

    did you try downloading the Vodafone settings from sonyericsson.com?

    Yeah I tried that for both wap settings and mms settings. If I have the vodafone live profile selected the MMS will send but I get a msg back later saying it failed. If I have the MMS profile selected MMS wont send at all, it'll keep trying all day.

    I'm at a loss here :(

    this should work:
    first delete all mms related accounts on the phone by going to:
    menu->settings->connectivity->data communication->data accounts
    and deleting the relevant profiles. then:

    menu->settings->connectivity->data communication->data accounts
    ->new account->ps data (or packet data or gprs)

    name:vodafone mms
    apn:mms.vodafone.net
    username:dublin
    password:dublin

    press save

    press enter (with vodafone mms highlighted)
    in authentication, tick only PAP (untick none and chap)

    menu->settings->connectivity->internet settings->internet profiles->new profile

    name:vodafone mms
    connect using:vodafone mms
    press save

    highlight vodafone mms and press more->settings

    connect using:vodafone mms
    use proxy:yes
    proxy address: 010.024.059.200
    port number: 80
    username:dublin
    password:dublin

    press save

    menu->messaging->settings->picture message->mms profile->new profile.
    mms profile name: Vodafone MMS
    message server:http://www.vodafone.ie/mms
    internet profile: vodafdone mms

    select vodafone mms as the profile to use and you're done!

    there's no need to put vodafone firmware on the phone and most likely won't work anyway.

    if it still doesn't work, find someone else with a vodafone phone and make sure they can send mms. then put your sim in their phone and put their sim in yours.

    1. if they can send mms with their sim in your phone and you can't with yours in theirs, then there's a problem with either your sim or your setup at vodafone's end. go into a vodafone store and get as free replacement sim and if it still doesn't work, call them and make sure you're set up properly.

    and even if they tell you you're set up properly, if it's still the case that someone else can send mms with their sim in their phone and you can't, then they did it wrong

    2. if neither of you can send mms with your sims in your phone, then your phone is probably faulty and should be sent in for repair, but this is very unlikely. (that of course assumes that you entered the above settings properly)
