Colour Scheme for a North Facing bedroom!

Updating my dark north facing bedroom in a country cottage which badly needs it. The scheme for the last 7/8 years was a sunny yellow scheme which was lovely at the time but now I'm just sick of it.
The room gets very little sunlight as the window is northfacing. Any ideas would be welcome:)
