    Hi,
So sorting out my things on the mac here, first impressions I love it!
Anyways I've all my photos separated into folders on my pc, what's the best way of importing them? I dragged them into iphoto but then they arent organized into folders in my pictures folder? When I synch with my iphone what am I supposed to do then?
    Thanks Gary

Put the folder as you have them organised into your preferred directory. Open iPhoto > Preferences > Advanced and un-tick "Copy items to iPhoto Library". In iPhoto create create an album for each folder (if that's how your folders are setup - this was my case) then just drag the folders to the window for that album.

The photos won't be moved or re-imported again but you're free to organise them how you wish without affecting their layout. It's a bit like telling iTunes not to control your music folders.

Right I can do that, the problem is when I plug in my iphone the photos automatically go into iphoto and are saved to the iphoto folder.

Ideally if I created an album of new photos i'd love if it created a folder of the photos in my photos folder!
