    A staple of people desperately trying to make their various ridiculous claim fit into reality, is vibrations!
    Psychics: picking up thought vibrations
    Dowsers: picking up energy vibrations
    Ghosts: peoples souls on a different vibrational scale

    And so on and so forth.....

    Speaking as a guy who knows his physics that's not how vibrations work.
    Kinda pisses me off. Anyone else?

    It kind of works as a metaphor, e.g, like being on the same "wavelength' as someone. The it gets taken literally.

    Following on from this, people are no longer allowed to have a 'bit' of a laugh following complaints from computer programmers, spending a few bob is deemed offensive to those named Robert, and you can no longer 'spend a penny', you are required to wee 1.27 cent.
