    My lady got a pair of "Fit Flops".
    Says they're great. See runningbare.co.uk

    Those Reefs look good, they have arch support. The first pair look as though they might stay on easier :)

    I love flip-flops and wear them around the house and out loads. However, sometimes you'd like a bit more support.

    Like a previous poster said, I've been meaning to check out "fit-flops" for a while now.

    Yep that's right, flip flops aren't good for your feet. They have no upper part (say a higher heel) to hold them on your feet, your toes actually have to flex to hold them on. This not only leads to strain over time, but also prevents you from walking in a normal heel to toe gait. There's also no stable arch in a flip-flop. When you walk, your foot rolls in and that can lead to heel, toe, and upper foot pain. They're especially bad for people like myself who has bad arches and already wears orthotics to support the arches.

    but they're so pretty and they go with everything!!!! I just wear them every now and then!

    Yep, very bad for your feet! And fallen arches (with I have on my left foot) can lead to knee placements in your early 30's! But so handy. Those running bare type flip flops were what the physio reccommended to me.

    I have the second pair of Reef flip flops in that link and they are so comfortable. Bought them about year and half ago and they've got some mileage (Oz, NZ, Fiji, S.E. Asia) and I still wear them. Most flip flops decintegrate after a few months wear.

    I have a pair similar to the second one (straps a bit wider) and they're ridiculously comfy. I can't wear flipflops usually because they always slip off, but I bought a pair of reefs in the US while in California because it was so warm, and they were a godsend. I'd wear them for hours of walking around places and never got so much as an ache or a blister.

    Im going away for 6 weeks and want something that I can wear the entire time without getting sore feet - they're very over sensitive! I want something that looks nice, goes with everything, gives arch support and stays on my foot.... Which out of the two above do you think would stay on without 'toe-clinging' and look the best? I was looking at these teva's aswell, anyone tried these? They dont look as nice as the reefs but they might stay on a bit better;

    Anyone know of any shops in Dublin or online (that delivers to Ireland at a reasonable cost) that sell reef, teva or similar brands - preferably with a few styles.

    Hush Puppies do great ones also - padded soles that are really comforable. Think I got my last pair in Schuh.
