A hunter's prayer

I have my Swift zeroed with dangerous bunny intent.

There's a beautiful rolling valley I'm going to soon which is, no other word for it, infested with rabbits. I'm going to bring a flask (just tea!) some food, a few smokes, some insect repellant, a table and chair (and/or blanket) and 100 rounds. I've been talking about it for years and just haven't got round to it (you know the story:rolleyes:). During breaks, I'll walk around with me 22lr!


So please join me in a prayer:

Dear Saint Hubert, please don't let it rain, please don't let there be livestock near/in the way. Please don't let there be farmers driving around in tractors, or if there are, please don't have them spreading slurry. Don't let me hear the alarm at 5 and stay in bed 'til 9, don't let the child be sick or the wife's sister/friend need a shoulder or thigh to cry on. Please let me find the keys to the car and to the safe. Please let the car start. Please don't let me forget the bolt, or knock the scope or fire the first round and wonder if my sights are off. Let there be light.

In return I promise to send the bunnies, to your section for bunnies, immediately and humanely, anyones I bring home I promise to barbeque using charcoals, not gas, like God intended (I think barbeques were created on the 7th day, not actual work). Also any marinade used won't be over spiced or too sweet either - Beer served, in case you're wondering will be VERY cold (I'll offer up any pain in my hand as penance).

Please put this prayer to the front of His clipboard, on top of anyone that reads like - Dear God, It's bunny number 12983654267838900 here, you know - the one with the white tail? We're getting killed down here, send backup, "MEDIC!! number 32983623267838900 just took one, well, to the whole body!'.

Well G17, it's no coincidence St. Hubert was from Liege where the best Brownings are built..not only a saint but also a visionary

Anyway, best of luck with the bunnies, and just maybe, you mentioning the arrival at the bunny pearly gates : ever wondered what fluffy white clouds are made of ??
