Meteor & Roaming in the UK?

    I'm goin to the UK tomorrow and just rememebrd that i've moved to Meteor since I was last in the UK. Should roaming automatically work or do I need to set anything up?

    I'm on prepay. Thanks in advance

    text "travel" to 50104 now to set up the low UK rates. when you arrive in the UK select the T-mobile network. I cant remember the rates, look them up on the meteor site but i do know it's free to receive calls while roaming in the UK

    and as soon as you turn your phone on in england you'll get a text with the rates

    Just glancing through this forum as we are off to UK soon! I have Meteor free texts, will these still be free to Meteor users in Ireland if I text from the UK?

    Free texts are only active from within the republic of Ireland

    I noticed in the T&C's that you need to make an "advance payment" of €60 for roaming in the UK. Has anyone been roaming without the €60 top up and still been able to receive calls free?

    you don't have to top up the €60 to roam in the uk. there are a few countries where you don't have to, mostly european countries and i think america.

    if you're in a country where you do have to top up to activate roaming, it won't work

    Does that only apply to roaming if you haven't signed up for Meteor UK Roaming Product, which allows you to receive calls for free on T-Mobile? See here for the T&C's I was referring to:
