SE k530i: Problem with transferring music etc

    Right I bought a shiny new SE k530i the other day on 3 from carphone warehouse. I really like the phone.

    But my problem lies with the transferring of data, particulary the music. I believe i have followed the instructions to the letter and im no dummy at computers either. No matter how many times i uninstall/reinstall the PC suite (including the Disc 2 phone app) and the USB/phone drivers nothing happens.

    Within the Disc 2 Phone app itself it keeps asking me to insert memory card or usb even though my phone is attached and in 'file transfer' mode.

    The only thing that i can see is wrong is, when i connect my phone via USB, after it finds the new hardware, a notification pops up saying there was a problem with the installsion and it may not work. BUT i have updated/reinstalled the drivers etc etc and still nothing.

    Im getting kind of frustrated. I dont have a memory card for it yet or bluetooth on my computer so there is no other way of transferring stuff between them.

    Hope someone has a solution. And sorry for the long post. Cheers and thanks in advance.

    EDIT: Even a link to somewhere would be helpfully except the Sony Support page cos that was a joke!

    Did you try to download the latest sony ericsson pc suite from the se website?

    It isnt usually necessary to bother with the supplied SE software. I just connect the phone to a USB port and it will be seen as a removable drive.
