Amplifier, speaker and wiring advice

I've just bought a Sony CDX GT828U head unit http://tinyurl.com/5owjqz

My old head unit was connected straight into the vehicle wiring with the ISO connector and went off to I don't know how many speakers (6 I think). It's a BMW E36 without any amp.

I got a decent sound from the CDX M8800 until it died and I'm hoping that the new one will be the same.

What I'd like to do is put an amplifier into the car using the existing speakers if I can. The head unit has 3 pre-outs @2v and also a sub output. http://tinyurl.com/5pl6zh

I'm assuming that I'm looking for a 4 Channel amp  What output should I be looking for bearing in mind that I was happy with the volume without an amp, I just want quality. That said I might want to turn it up now and again :D

So, suggestions on an amp would be greatly appreciated as well as the wiring kits for it. I have to take off the door cards as I think there are two speakers in each of the front doors and 2 on the rear shelf. If that's the case and I onl y have a 4 Channel amp, do I just power 4 and leave two unpowered or powered by the head unit.

One other addition, I have a Parrot Bluetooth unit plugged into the ISO connector on the head unit. Will this still mute the music, I'm assuming not since the speakers won't be using the output from the ISO just from the amp.

Sorry for all the questions, this is my first time wanting to do anything other than put in a new stereo :D

    Cheers,

    Matt
