    Hello friends,

My philosophy results are out today, but as I look through the online results pdf. all I can say is that its like vietnam in there. Vietnam. I haven't a clue what any of it means.

*What does ex aeq mean in the context of the results? I hope it means something good.

    * Why the spacing between "Second Class" and "First Division Honor"? Surely they are meant to go together, meaning 2:1?

*What does OAF mean? Why is it located under "Second class" while ex aeq is located under "First Division Honor"?

    * Why is there one of those funny mathsey brackets linking my "OAF" and the person underneath me's "OU1" pointing towards the ex aeq?

Be nice and help me out if you know.

    I love you all.

Ex aeq means something like 'on equal footing' - basically that two or more people got the same mark in their exams.

The spacing in between Second Class Honour (First Division) doesn't mean anything at all. It's just bad formatting really. It's a 2.1.

I could be wrong but I think the OAF and the OU1 and all that jazz are to identify who your tutor is; so you'll have some people in the class who have the same one. NB: I could be wrong on this...

...but it would explain that you and the person just below you got exactly the same mark but have different tutors.

I can't believe that I a) responded to a thread entitled 'What a load of Vag' and b) suggested that I 'always' have a sexy day. I swear to god, much as I love working on my own, sometimes I think I've forgotten how to properly interact with people. Even internet people.

I think you did a pretty good job. :)

Yes, you really seem so intelligent stating students in Tallaght need hand holding. You really have a lot to learn. BTW, I am smart, so much smarter than you, HIBBERT.

Are you attempting to tell us that that formatting is an intuitive way to state grades?

I'm bored by the cantab wannabe trolls. He'd probably vomit on you if he ever met you. He's kinda hot like that.
