I have my first primary teaching job interview coming up soon and I have found it really difficult to find a suitable outfit. I am young looking for my age and as a result trouser suits look ridiculous on me and far too severe. Would the following dress be suitable?

    http://www.oasis-stores.com/fcp/product/Oasis/4470038533/Clean-50s-shirt-dress

    Hope that link works!

The colouring is perfect on me- pale with dark brown hair, but is it too casual??? Any other suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

I wouldnt go to such an interview in anything other than a suit of some sort.

Could you wear a skirt suit?

i like the dress, and depending on how you accessorize it it could be fine for interview, not all interviews require a suit, i would regulary interview in my line of work and i would find a suit a little formal, somtimes (depending on the job you are going for) you can see a little of somones personality by what they wear.

I just had an interview the other day. I wore a v neck black and pink jumper with smart black trousers. It's often too warm at the moment to wear a suit jacket.

I'd go for it! It's summer, no need to wear black trouser suits. Besides you're not interviewing for a CEO position :)

I had an interview last week, wore a skirt (same colour as the dress you want to wear) and a white blouse. Got the job :)

    Good luck!

I think that the dress would be just fine, providing you wear good shoes and tights, and accessorise well.

A skirt suit would also be an option. If you have a good look around the shops, you can get suits with circular or curved collars, rather than stuffier straight line collars.

Some nice chunky high heels and maybe a nice cardi over it and youd look lovely, its a gorgeous dress. good luck with interview.

A jacket should always be worn in formal situations such as this. In some schools there can be very conservative people involved in the hiring process. You will be at least a generation younger than the members of the interview board. What do you think they wore to interviews? They will expect you to wear the same!
