Nutritionist - After failing numerous times

    Hi guys,
After trying in the last few months multiple times to get into a routine of eating proper food etc. I have failed again.

I can't put my finger on the reason why but I have ongoing personal issues such as depression etc. to deal with at the moment.

I'm don't feel like trying again. The main reason is that I'm just not into all that much different types of food and I can't find any recipes or anything I like.

I went to see a specialist there recently for my depression (I'm seeing other specialists ongoing weekly) and she commented on how my eyes are a kind of creamy yellow colour and that something like that could be problems with the liver.

I have low energy levels, suffer from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foggy_brain among other things. I think tbh that every system is more or less f8cked up and I am getting the other ones treated by professionals.

I know I'm not getting correct nutrition or anything like that and everytime I try I fail. I know that by getting this sorted out it's not going to fix everything but I don't want something like this to be holding me back.

I need someone who is a professional and that will help me do up diet plans etc....recipes that I would like.

Not just...here's a list...combine them into your diet (I could find out this on the internet myself)

Also that book "you are what you eat". The author knows all the symptoms of various ailments..how they come through on your tongue or around your eyes etc.... It's someone like this I want.

Cheers for any help in advance,
    A lost soul :o

    ?

Without wanting to sound faceatious (sp?) but for the most part eat lots of fruit and veg and don't eat too much fatty crap and badda bing. A balanced 'diet'. You don't need to see a professional to tell you what one is.

It's not hard and in fairness if you don't like the foods then you have to make an effort to like them. This sounds silly initially but I used to HATE veg but I decided I needed to eat them so I forced myself.

Now the thought of stuffing my face with spinach, rocket and watercress with a small bit of olive oil salt n pepper is actually something that appeals to me. Yum in fact.

I think you're not using the word facetious properly.

In fairness, if the OP is suffering from depression, then just telling her to suck it up and eat veg and try what she doesn't like or whatever isn't going to help all that much imo. If depression is a concern then not having the get up and go to make an effort and come up with new recipes and try new things is going to be a problem in itself.

OP, have you seen your doctor lately to discuss this? He/she could refer you to a good nutritionist. Once you have seen one and set up a method of preparing meals and doing some research on different meals and then actually eating them and learning to enjoy them then you should find things a lot easier. It sounds to me like you need some serious structure and a plan laid out for you that you can follow - which will make your chances of following it long-term a lot better.

You are mentioning illnesses and syndromes there - I would go to a professional and take it from there. We can help you here but it's more along the lines of here is what's optimum for certain goals, rather than a full diagnosis of the issue and recommendations - which we aren't best placed to do when we don't know all the details of your health and situation.
