bit of a long shot but does anyone know of any pubs that won the national black and white pub of the year award over the last twenty or so years, or where i could find a list of winners? cheers

If you Google black and white pub of the year you should get enough hits from past winners' websites to start piecing together a list.

yeah ive been at that all morning, i got a bit mental when three different pubs said on their websites that they'd won the national award for one particular year :rolleyes: i shall persevere

There are lots of different categories and sometimes there are multiple winners. The Playwright in Blackrock in Dublin and Barry's in Douglas in Cork are amongst the winners, think The Playwright won about five years in a row. Think the Poitin Stil in Rathcoole won too
