    Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone knows if RTÉ has any plans to broadcast its other digital radio stations (RTÉ Choice, RTÉ Pulse etc.) on satellite/Sky? Am desperately looking for an alternative to Saturday Sport!

    Thanks,

    Stephen

Does anyone know of any plans to add the current national channels (RTE, Today FM and Newstalk) to Freesat?
Will they be added to the Freesat EPG when the RTE International tv service is launched?

I used to listen to satellite radio stations, but since getting an internet radio I never do now.
I would strongly recommend an internet radio to anyone interested in receiving these stations or any of the thousands of others available.

    It's the future!

It's generally much poorer quality and less reliable. I use WiFi on my phone for BBC R4 FM and various stations on my Archos 605 WiFi (which oddly has not RTE at all nor BBC R4 outside UK IP range).

Using Internet for actual Broadcast Radio and TV is HUGE waste of bandwidth. If everyone listened to Radio that way the Web would seize. It only needs 5% of TV viewing to be via web to eat 90% of the capacity.

It's Ok for low bitrate speech or occasional sampling of Music/Radio.

Archos has http://www.vtuner.com/ I confess I do occasionally watch a snatch of Sky News on it :(

E65 Series 60 phone will work will realplayer streams or MP3 downloads
