DIY Dish install??

Hi,

I'd like to do a DIY Sky dish install and I was wondering what I would need to purchase and if it would work out cheaper. I recently finished building my new house and I intalled a 16 port Triax switch. I have four Ct100 cables going from where the dish will be to the switch and then out to all the rooms. I plan to have my sky boxes near my triax switch and use magic eye to control them in all the different rooms.

So I need the following

Sky compatible dish with all fittings
Quad Lnb
sat finder
Anything else?

Are these resonably priced locally or should I be looking at ebay?

is it a triax multi switch you have? You may need to check whether it works with a quad or a quattro lnb. Perhaps its a distribution amplifier, if it is you might consider changing to a multiswitch so you can have the sky boxes in each room. Sorry its been so long since I bought it. This is what I purchased

centauri switch 5/16 P.147-UP

Do I have to connect the 4 feeds from that satellite in any particular order?

Ok the other boys here know centauri better than I so I'll leave it to them. This switch was a good buy and will allow to place the boxes in the rooms themselves if thats what you want and the cabling is ok. You can also connect a terrestrial aerial to the switch to give you RTE etc in the rooms but you need diplexed wall plates or diplexers to separate the satellite and aerial feeds in the rooms.
