I want to pay for something online off a forum... Both of us are trusted on the forum but I still want the transaction to be safe. I suggested international bank transfer using my internet banking, he suggested cheque. Whats the safest way for both of us to transfer the money?? It's 1000 pounds.

Aye, agree, PayPal is the way to do this as you are insured and can claim if funds or goods are not recieved.
