    linkage
In the latest run of good news for vitamin D comes a new study showing that people with higher levels of the "sunshine" vitamin were less likely to die from any cause - including cardiovascular disease
He says those at high risk for vitamin D deficiency - including the elderly, nursing home residents and people who work night shifts or spend a lot of time indoors

Heh, we do gotta go at some stage.

It's still not "ultimate proof" of the harmful effects of too little vitamin D, he says.

    Bah. Mad scientists! :pac:

You can also get Vitamin D from other sources.

Sunlight is awesome! Sleep from 7-8am to 2pm, you get the best of both worlds

    Wtf? people ?Daytime?Bannings?

To your Question you should always take vitamins to supplement what sources you dont get--your body cannot store vitamins so you would need to go out every day to develop this. Also exposure to sunlight also gives you a source of energy .It is very good to just get out in the sunlight.

Pfft, Science. Do you believe everything that Science tells you??
Vitamin D is rubbish, that's why it only comes 4th alphabetically.

I'd rather stay inside and lack of Vitamin D than go outside and give Flamey Cancer Ball the satisfaction of knowing that I depend on it.

Aren't there two types of Vitamin D?

    One from foods/supplements

And the other from the sun (which cannot be artificially replaced?)

Begone with your biological facts and nutritional knowledge!

The Sun, if that is it's real name, is evil and should be avoided at all costs.

I believe that the sun activates vitamin D so all the supplements in the world can't help you.

You could however just get a sunlamp....
