Anyone on here seen this yet?

Very strange film. Off the wall plot but I found it strangely good.

    Charachters were interesting.

Was more of a dark comedy and less of a horror than I was expecting.

Hardly any gore but lots of laughs.

Would you believe that this got a 4 star review in the sunday times.

Apparently the characters are pretty well fleshed out and the movie itself stands up very well.

The film tried to do a bit of a Hard Candy but didnt pull it off. Id rate it mediocre.

Agreed. Saw it last night. Got a few laughs but that was more from other audience members reactions than anything. Not very subtle at all. They really spelled out the symoblism for people.

Just back from it and thought it did the job as a sometimes amusing black comedy, with some of the most unpleasant scenes in years. The tone gives it a slightly surreal and offbeat edge. But yeah, it certainly isn't subtle and the characters are annoying and unlikable for the most part (the lead is good for the first half, but her transformation doesn't feel right at all - just sort of happens). It descends into a more generic final act, which reminded me of the stupid, simplistic feminist subtexts Tarantino and Roth seem so obsessed with. Shame, as it was doing a good job up until then. Although the final shot is funny.

Its an above average night's entertainment, and something that is a little different from the norm, but nothing special really.

    not surprising.

Anyone who does a course on film theory runs into the *vagina dentata* (sp?) theory at some point, which accumulates with that man's greatest fear is is a vagina with teeth.

I assume most film critics would have covered it at some point, and found the film to be refreshing laugh. I know most of my friends from university found it to be very entertaining.

I havnt had a chance to see it yet myself.

It was a lot better than I would have expected it to be, because the main character was fleshed out quite well. The male characters slightly less so, unfortunately, which contributes to the film's main flaw - the third act is a bit weak, since it doesn't have much of a conclusion to build up to other than
the confrontation and destruction of her stepbrother
    .

It seemed almost more of a played-for-laughs version of an exploitation flick, since the premise was basically
that the guys kept forcing themselves on her out of sexual desire, which she then turned back on them
. But then again, that would be taking the film probably a bit too seriously...

I enjoyed this movie and thought it was entertaining at least. It's certainly not a horror or indeed a laugh out loud comedy, but it had dark undertones that were amusing and the story was nicely odd for a mainstream release. This sort of movie and storyline (in my experience) is usually only found in straight to dvd horror's made on a shoe string that are rubbish. Teeth pulled it off quite well.

Actually really liked this film. I usually like horror comedies anyway. The reactions of the guys when they get bitten is worth the viewing alone.

Went to see this last night.

    Jesus H.

Without question, the most bizarre film I've ever encountered.

Myself and my mate came out of it totally perplexed. Couldn't decide whether we loved it or hated it.

On reflection, I'm glad I went to it. Laughed out loud on several occasions which I rarely do when watching a flim.

The lead's acting was terrific all the way during the film and the direction was very good.

There were some annoyances (as mentioned earlier, her relative easy transition) but all in all definitely worth watching.

You have to have an open mind about some things to enjoy it but once you let go, you can have a laugh (and a squirm in your seat if you're a guy).

I was at a comedy club last night. One of the comics had jokes about this movie, something to do with splitting audiences members. :pac:

I loved it, although I must admit I had to cover my eyes for some parts! It was really funny, and a film that was anti-ignorance as opposed to anti-men. There was a woman at my screening who didn't laugh at all apart from at the biting off parts, where she screamed with laughter. My friend and I could only assume she was vehemently anti-men :D. I'd recommend it, but go with a strong stomach!
