New amplifier

    Hi all,

Looking to purchase a new stereo amplifier soon for the new gaff. Want something low-budget but semi-decent quality all the same. Initially I'll just be using some old sony speakers but will possibly be upgrading in time.

Something fairly flat response with enough inputs to put music, pc, dvd player through it, although the main use will be for music. Hoping to get sorted for under 150 euro.

Any suggestions to get me started? Or even a few brands to check out / avoid?

    Cheers.

Looking at this at the moment - http://nadelectronics.com/products/hifi-amplifiers/C315BEE-Stereo-Integrated-Amplifier/details - 190 euro from richer sounds online.

Seems to be a good entry-level amp for that money. Any thoughts on nad amps in general?

One feature I wouldn't mind having is an A&B speaker output (may be using 2 different sets initially), but it's not essential. Also I'm slightly concerned that the 2x40w may be a bit on the low side.

    Any feedback/advice welcome. Cheers.

NAD have a good reputation for the quality and reliability of their kit.
You could, for similar money, get a Pioneer A209R which has slightly more power at 60W per channel and the speaker A/B you were looking for.
Might not have the same reputation as the NAD but would sound pretty good.
Just something to consider! Good luck in your hunt..
