Student Travelcard

    Howdy.

I'm a student but I'm studying over in Edinburgh, back in Eire for the summer and am working over at Grand Canal Dock. I'm looking to get one of these Student Travelcards to get discounts off the trains, but everytime I head over to the student union building it seems to be closed. I'm presuming it closes on Saturday and Sunday (went on Sat before but the door was closed) and went during my lunchbreak one time but no joy. Does anyone know the opening time for the place? (I checked thr Trin website but it just shows the times the President and that will be there) Any later openings I could head after 5:30 (when I finish work)? Or what times are they open around lunchtime?

Does anyone have any other information on places in town that open at the weekend and do the on the spot cards, if I can't make it during the week.

    Cheers lads

I went to the SU last Wednesday I think to get mine. It was during lunchtime but I don't know what their office hours are usually.

The office opens from around 9:30 - 5:30 every day. It's odd that it was closed when you went in during work but that must just have been an awkward day where there was problems with covering someone's lunch. There's two members of staff in there all next week so you should be well able to get one over lunch.

Thanks for that danger... I'll try again over lunch.

Do you know how long it takes usually to get it processed?

Pushing it tight, one hour to get from Grand Canal to Trin and back, but it has to be done.

Shouldn't take more than ten minutes, if that.
