Was at Christy on Thursday night.
Damien Dempsey was also playing as support to him..
But before that some guy called Jinx Lennon, good God in heaven he was brutal.
Maybe for a different crowd he would have prob been appreciated but for your average Christy crowd I think it was not a good idea.
Christy was not immpressed with the booing he got and even mentioned it on his offical website.
Everyone I spoke to was cringing with his performance and coulnt wait for it to be finished. I felt sorry for the lass who was with him, she seemed to have a nice voice but was over ridden by his shouting.
Was anyone there who actually enjoyed Jinx?

Some people might consider Damien Dempsey a bit on the brutal side but you could say he's just an aquired taste.

Well I never liked his studio albums, always thought his accent was a bit grating.

I was however impressed with his live performance, saying that I'm not gonna rush out and buy his back catalogue:pac:

Well I am a massive christy fan, and enjoyed itas he played some stuff that you don't really get to hear very often, Little Musgrave for example.

It was a tough gig as there was a good few there well tanked up and 1 particular arse kept shoutin 'pick it up christy'...
